An online lecture by Israeli law professor Yofi Tirosh at a New York City college was disrupted this week by participants shouting antisemitic threats, including “Kill all the Jews” and “Go back to Auschwitz,” The New York Times reported Friday.
The event, hosted by Queens College over Zoom, was open to the public, the report said. Tirosh was speaking on the rights of women and minorities in Israel when the verbal attacks occurred.
“There’s nothing for Palestinians in this protest,” she told the paper. “It doesn’t do anything for the cause of ending the war.”
Queens College strongly condemned the incident and announced that an investigation is underway.
The campus has sizable Jewish and Muslim student populations and has been the scene of many antisemitic incidents.
