The National Cyber Directorate announced that it is investigating several reports from Israelis who said they received phone calls with pre-recorded Hebrew messages attempting to recruit, threaten, and frighten them.

According to Ynet, one such recording claimed to be from Iranian intelligence and invited people to become operatives.

“Iranian intelligence is looking for official agents — competitive salary, comprehensive security. Find us on Telegram and the internet,” one of the recordings declared, as quoted by Ynet.

Officials cautioned the public not to pick up calls from the numbers 03-6817 and 03-3067. If answered, they advise hanging up immediately.

“The National Cyber Directorate emphasizes this is solely an intimidation attempt that does not damage phones,” the directorate said in a statement.
