After concluding his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, King Abdullah reaffirmed his countries “steadfast position against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank”.
King Abdullah called for rebuilding Gaza without displacing Palestinians and prioritizing the humanitarian crisis. “This is the unified Arab position,” he stated in a X thread.
Jordan’s King emphasized that achieving peace through a two-state solution, “achieving just peace on the basis of the two-state solution is the way to ensure regional stability”, the King stated in his statement.
King Abdullah praised President Trump as “a man of peace,” acknowledging his crucial role in securing the Gaza ceasefire. The King also expressed hope that U.S. leadership would ensure its continuation.
Additionally, King Abdullah urged efforts toward de-escalation in the “West Bank” to avoid further instability and reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to working for a “just and comprehensive” peace in the region.
