Karine Jean-Pierre, who served as former President Joe Biden’s chief spokesperson for nearly three years, revealed Wednesday that she has renounced her affiliation with the Democratic Party and is preparing to release a revealing memoir criticizing the administration she once defended.

The 50-year-old woman surprised former colleagues with news of her book, “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” which is scheduled to be published on October 21.

According to publisher Hachette Book Group, Jean-Pierre’s decision to go Independent “didn’t come lightly,” and the promotional material suggests her criticism will extend beyond just President Biden.

The book promises to recount “the three weeks that led to Biden’s abandoning his bid for a second term and the betrayal by the Democratic Party that led to his decision,” adding that Jean-Pierre’s account will also offer a broader argument for political independence over party loyalty.

A prominent Democratic source responded scornfully to The Post, saying, “What her publisher means to tell readers is that she is INCOMPETENT, not independent. Just incompetent. But we don’t need to read about it — we watched it.”

The same source continued mockingly, “Put this ‘bombshell’ at the top of the Trump book-burn pile. Right next to Jake Tapper’s own toothless tome.”

During her time at the podium, Jean-Pierre was known for passionately defending Biden’s mental fitness and presidential performance.

In one 2022 briefing, she attempted to explain Biden’s awkward mention of the late Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) by saying the deceased congresswoman was “top of mind.” That defense was met with widespread skepticism.

She continued to insist publicly that the president was “sharp as ever” despite mounting incidents that suggested otherwise.
