Lt. Gov. Delgado Ends N.Y. Democratic Primary Challenge Against Hochul

NEW YORK: Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado has ended his primary challenge against Governor Kathy Hochul, citing no viable path forward. His exit comes a week after naming India Walton as his running mate.

Hochul’s campaign emphasized party unity, and polling had her leading Delgado by more than 50 points.

Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins said ending the campaign was the right move but did not call for Delgado to resign.
