The Lufthansa Group has announced an extension of its suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, pushing the date back to May 25.

The airline group, comprising Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings, made the decision following a recent security evaluation.

The flight halt was initially implemented after a ballistic missile launched from Yemen landed near Israel’s primary international airport on May 4, prompting several foreign carriers to pause operations.

Despite the ongoing suspensions by major carriers, Hungary-based budget airline Wizz Air resumed its flights to Tel Aviv on Thursday, signaling some renewed confidence in air traffic safety.
