A 30-year-old man tragically lost consciousness and drowned in a mikveh on Mifrat Shlomo Street in Cholon. MDA teams rushed to the scene and carried out extended CPR, but he was ultimately pronounced dead.
According to MDA, the call came in at 7:51 PM reporting that a man had apparently collapsed and drowned at the location. Medics and paramedics administered treatment and performed resuscitation efforts, but the man did not survive.
MDA paramedic Yisrael Tzeidk told B’chadrei Charedim: “We arrived inside the mikveh area where a man was lying unconscious with no pulse or breathing. We began performing advanced CPR, which included heart massage, rescue breaths, and after prolonged CPR, we had no choice but to declare him dead.”
United Hatzalah paramedics Avraham Samora, Yosef Gabbay, and David Yashar told the news outlet: “We were informed at the scene that he was pulled from the water unconscious. We performed prolonged CPR on him, but unfortunately, at the end, he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
