The IDF confirms that a precision airstrike on Hezbollah’s underground headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon, successfully eliminated the terror leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, along with other terror leaders.
Israel Defense Forces carried out the Friday afternoon airstrike via fighter jets, targeting Hezbollah’s central headquarters embedded in bunkers under a residential building in Beirut’s southern suburbs, a known stronghold of the U.S.-designated terror group. The strike killed Hassan Nasrallah, the terror leader of Hezbollah for 30 years, known for his fiery rhetoric and vows to destroy Israel and U.S. presence in Lebanon.
Nasrallah was behind non-stop rocket fire from Lebanon over the past years, including numerous deadly attacks resulting in significant casualties among Jews, Israelis, Americans, and French nationals. The evil terror attacks carried out by Hezbollah include the 1992 Buenos Aires bombing, which targeted the Israeli embassy and killed 29 people, and the 1994 AMIA bombing of the Jewish community center, resulting in 85 deaths.
In 1983, Nasrallah’s Hezbollah terror organization was involved in the Beirut barracks bombings, where two truck bombs killed 241 U.S. servicemen and 58 French paratroopers. Additionally, the 1984 U.S. embassy bombing killed 63 people, including 17 Americans.
