Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yisrael Katz and the Houthi terrorists announced Thursday that the Iran backed group’s “military” chief of staff Muhammad al-Ghamari had been eliminated. Netanyahu declared that “another chief of staff was eliminated from the ranks of terror leaders who sought to harm us.”
“We will reach everyone,” Netanyahu vowed in a statement following the Houthis’ confirmation of al-Ghamari’s death. The Prime Minister’s Office added that “Israel’s determined hand will reach everyone who has tried to harm us.”
Katz also confirmed that al-Ghamari was fatally wounded in an Israeli strike in August that targeted top leaders of the Iran-backed group. That attack also killed the Houthi prime minister and about a dozen other senior officials.
Katz said al-Ghamari had previously been wounded in a June Israeli strike and that his death “joins his friends, the eliminated members of the Axis of Evil, in the depths of hell.”
The defense minister added that he visited the Military Intelligence Directorate’s “Houthi command center” earlier in the day with the directorate’s chief, Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, to thank soldiers and commanders “for the excellent work they have done and have yet to do against the Houthis in the future.”
In their announcement, the terror group confirmed al-Ghamari’s death but gave no details on how he was killed.
