For the first time since assuming office, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to embark on a three-day trip to the Middle East, during which he will visit Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
The State Department announced that Rubio’s trip will follow a meeting with the G7 leadership in Germany. His meetings in the Middle East will focus on the continuation of the hostage and ceasefire deal in Gaza.
This will be Rubio’s first visit as Secretary of State under the Trump administration. In Israel, he is expected to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Herzog, and other senior security officials.
