Person Lightly Injured by Stray Bullet at the Kosel, Police Investigating

A woman, around 45 years old, sustained a light shoulder injury reportedly while sitting at the Woman section at the Kosel, likely from a stray bullet fired from a distance. She was promptly taken to a hospital, and police from the David District in Jerusalem are investigating the incident’s origins.
United Hatzalah provided the following statement to Belaaz: “Paramedics Shuki Bakar and Zaki Yosef from United Hatzalah, along with EMTs Moshe Wiener, Akiva Angel, and David Milgrom, stated: “We provided her with initial medical assistance at the Kotel Plaza, after which she was evacuated by a United Hatzalah intensive care ambulance to a hospital for further treatment. Her condition is currently assessed as minor.”

Police said in a statement: “Officers from the David District in the Jerusalem region have begun probing the circumstances of a woman’s injury in Jerusalem’s Old City, likely due to stray gunfire. She was evacuated in light condition, and forces from the David District and the Jerusalem District’s criminal identification unit are on site collecting evidence.”
