President Donald Trump announced his nomination of his ally Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun as the United States Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, with the rank of Ambassador-at-Large.

In an exclusive first comment to Belaaz News following his nomination by President Trump, Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun tells Belaaz that he’s “Humbled and honored to be nominated by the President.”

Widely regarded as the most influential rabbi in the United States, Kaploun is considered by Trump to be his personal rabbi and also serves as the rabbi of billionaire Dr. Miriam Adelson.

A source informed Belaaz that Yehuda Kaploun received final confirmation of his appointment to the position of Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism last night (Wednesday), though President Trump only announced it publicly this afternoon.

The announcement, made via a statement on Truth Social, underscores the Trump administration’s commitment to tackling the alarming rise in antisemitic incidents while promoting peace and security for Jewish communities globally.

“I am proud to nominate Yehuda Kaploun as the United States Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, Ambassador-at-Large,” President Trump stated. “Yehuda is a successful businessman, and staunch advocate for the Jewish Faith and the Rights of his people to live and worship free from persecution. With Anti-Semitism dangerously on the rise, Yehuda will be the strongest Representative for Americans and Jews across the Globe, and promote PEACE. Congratulations Yehuda!”

Belaaz can now reveal that President Trump had initially considered appointing Yehuda Kaploun as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates—a role Kaploun was keenly interested in—before ultimately deciding to appoint him as the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, three sources revealed to Belaaz several weeks ago.

Kaploun, a Miami-based businessman and longtime friend of President Trump and confident of Billionaire Jewish businesswomen Dr. Miriam Adelson, helped connect Jewish communities in the U.S. and secure their vote to support President Trump and the Republican Party during the election campaign.

Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun also played a key role in resolving a dispute between President Trump and Miriam Adelson regarding the allocation of the $100 million she donated to the campaign, an effort for which President Trump has expressed immense gratitude to Kaploun, Belaaz is told.

In an interview given to Belaaz on January 30th, Rabbi Kaploun, who was instrumental in the president’s decision to sign an executive order to deport people who engage in antisemitic protests or who target Jews, said: “This executive order is a testament to what the President promised that he would do at meetings with Jewish leaders during the campaign, and the President is keeping his word exactly as to the details of what he discussed during the campaign, like at the events that took place in Bedminster with Dr. Miriam Adelson, myself and 300 various Jewish leaders…”
