Russian media report that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call to address critical issues.

The call follows their last conversation on June 13, the day Israel launched preemptive strikes on Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile facilities, which Moscow had criticized.

The conversation focused on Iran’s nuclear program and the ongoing situation in Syria, marking a significant diplomatic exchange amid rising tensions in the region.

The Kremlin stated that Putin emphasized to Netanyahu the importance of preserving Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while reaffirming Russia’s willingness to assist in negotiating a solution to the Iranian nuclear issue.

The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed the call to TOI but offered no additional details.
