Ahead of President Donald Trump’s Mideast visit, rhe royal family of Qatar plans to donate a Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet to the United States, according to ABC News. This aircraft will even temporarily serve as Air Force One for Trump.
Sources told ABC News that the jet, described as a “flying palace,” will be officially handed over during Trump’s upcoming trip to Qatar, which plays host to the politburo of Hamas terrorists. After being converted for presidential use, the plane will be operated by the US Air Force before being transferred to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation in 2029.
Though it is clearly a bribe, legal experts from the White House and the Justice Department have reportedly concluded that the donation technically complies with US law.
The aircraft is estimated to be worth around $400 million. The US military will fund the modifications needed to meet Air Force One specifications. Attorney General Pam Bondi and White House Counsel David Warrington are said to have signed off on the arrangement as legally permissible.
Former US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro slammed the gift, saying: “The Qataris know exactly how to play Trump like a fiddle. This is embarrassing.”
US Representative Ritchie Torres (D-NY) had a similar reaction: “Air Force One will have something in common with Hamas. Paid for by Qatar.”
News of the planned donation emerges as tensions reportedly grow between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. NBC News reported that although the two leaders have parted ways in their strategies in dealing with Iran, Hamas terrorists and other threats. Disagreements have also surfaced over US nuclear negotiations with Iran and the decision to halt attacks on Houthi positions in Yemen.
