Latest development: TMZ reports receiving an alleged ransom note Tuesday morning (Feb. 3, 2026), demanding millions in Bitcoin sent to a specific address for the release of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC’s “Today” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. The outlet said it forwarded the message to authorities.
