Remains Belonging to the Body of Hostage Manny Goddard HY”D Were Located in Gaza

In a joint operation by the IDF and Shin Bet in the Gaza Strip, troops located and recovered findings associated with the body of the abducted fallen soldier, Manny Menachem Goddard hy”d, who was murdered and kidnapped by the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization on October 7, 2023. Despite the recovered findings, his body is still being held in the Gaza Strip.

The findings were transferred for identification at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, and the family has been updated.
Goddard’s body is still being held in Gaza, and efforts to bring it back continue.

Bar, Godard’s daughter, revealed that there was an attempt to retrieve her father’s body, but it was unsuccessful. She emphasized the family’s request not to endanger more soldiers and called for the return of all hostages through a negotiated deal.

Manny Goddard hy”d, who was 73 years old at the time of his murder, was a member of Kibbutz Be’eri. He worked as a printer at the local print shop, managed the grocery store and swimming pool, and served as the main IDF quartermaster. He is survived by four children and six grandchildren.
