A senior Shas party official said this evening in regards to collapsing Netanyahu’s government and heading to elections: “There will be no Knesset dissolution.” The official added, “Security events could change everyone’s agenda.”
Earlier, Shas leader Aryeh Deri was urgently called to a limited security meeting led by PM Netanyahu, shortly after a call with President Trump, which, per senior officials, focused largely on Iran.
A security source tells Belaaz that the Israeli military has been intensively preparing for a potential strike on Iran over the past month. However, Belaaz understands that these plans have been postponed due to ongoing U.S. negotiations with Iran and not receiving a green light from U.S. President Trump.
. Tehran is anticipated to deliver its response to a U.S. proposal tomorrow via Oman.
