Since October of this year, when Israel last carried out an attack in Iran, the country has remained on alert for a potential follow-up strike. It is now reported that Israel is preparing for another response in Iran.

Channel 12 reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene a meeting today with the security establishment to discuss Israel’s readiness for a possible strike on Iran.

In the United States there have been recent reports suggesting that the incoming Trump administration may consider military action against Iran. As a result, the Prime Minister’s discussion will also focus on the implications of the new Trump administration taking office, with many in Israel expecting increased cooperation due to the anticipated shift in U.S. policy towards Iran.

Two weeks ago, Israeli media reported that the country is considering a military strike on Iran, partly in response to recent attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels. Israeli security and government officials believe that Iran has begun discussing and preparing for a potential Israeli strike on its territory.

While there are currently no visible signs of increased Iranian military presence or concerns about an imminent Israeli attack, there has been a noticeable surge in threats against Israel.
