Just hours after being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, preparations are underway at both the White House and in Jerusalem for a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in the coming weeks.

According to reports, Netanyahu will be one of the first world leaders to meet with President Trump at the White House.

The main topic of discussion is expected to be the ongoing hostage deal, which is still in its first phase. A key point of conversation is expected to be whether Israel will proceed to the next phase of the agreement, which would involve a full stop of the war.

In line with President Trump’s commitments, it is expected that a presidential executive order will be signed soon—possibly even today—that will lift the weapons embargo on Israel, imposed during the Biden administration. This move is seen as an important step in easing Israel’s military operations against Hamas and other fronts.
