Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held a secret meeting with former President Donald Trump and senior officials at the White House on Thursday to talk about ways to reduce tensions with Iran, multiple sources confirmed to Fox News.

Prince Khalid, often referred to by his initials KBS, is the younger brother of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

According to those familiar with the meeting, the discussions focused on calming tensions with Iran and paving the way for direct negotiations.

The talks also reportedly covered efforts to bring the war in Gaza to an end, secure the release of hostages—whether alive or deceased—and promote broader peace initiatives throughout the region.

While normalization with Israel was not the main agenda item, sources said the conversation included necessary steps that would support such a development.

“There was progress and optimism on all fronts,” one source said.

The Saudi government is said to be nearing completion of a defense and trade agreement with the United States. Sources added that both nations are aligned on all major points discussed.
