Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is reportedly considering appointing his longtime friend David Friedman, the former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, to a higher diplomatic role should he win the general election, a source close to Friedman tells Belaaz.
The source indicates that discussions are underway regarding Friedman potentially being nominated for positions such as UN Ambassador or even Secretary of State in a new Trump administration.
Friedman, a Orthodox Jew who served as US Ambassador to Israel from 2017 to 2021, has a strong background in law and diplomacy. He was a key advisor to Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign and played a crucial role in shaping the administration’s policies on Israel.
