Belaaz has learned from White House sources that President Donald Trump is preparing to issue a fresh set of presidential pardons, with an announcement expected around the Thanksgiving holiday.

While the White House traditionally engages in the lighthearted annual “pardoning” of a Thanksgiving turkey, this new list would involve actual clemency actions, continuing the President’s series of pardons that he has granted since taking office.

The news comes just days after the White House issued a flurry of pardons to several individuals. Those pardoned last week include:

Yosef (Joseph) Schwartz: A former nursing home executive who was jailed for allegations of tax violations. His defense team says a third-party firm was at fault for the oversight.

Daniel Edwin Wilson: A Jan. 6 defendant who received a second pardon. Wilson had already been pardoned in the sweeping clemency for Jan. 6 participants in January, but he remained in prison on a separate, pre-existing firearms charge. The new pardon, dated November 15, cleared that conviction, leading to his release.

Suzanne Kaye: A Florida woman who was sentenced for making online threats against FBI agents who sought to question her about her presence in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021.

In October, the president pardoned Changpeng Zhao, the billionaire founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, who had pleaded guilty to enabling money laundering. That same month, he commuted the sentence of former New York congressman George Santos, who was serving time for fraud.

Earlier this month, the president also issued symbolic pardons to key allies, including Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows, for any federal charges related to their efforts to challenge the 2020 election. (These pardons do not apply to ongoing state-level charges.)

The president’s most significant use of the pardon power occurred on his first day back in office in January 2025, when he issued a sweeping, unconditional pardon to more than 1,500 individuals who had been convicted of offenses related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
