The Senate passed Tuesday afternoon President Donald Trump’s “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” Act following a marathon voting session.

The vote concluded with a 50-50 tie, broken by Vice President JD Vance, securing its passage.

Republican leaders are now pushing to swiftly move the multi-trillion-dollar legislation through the House of Representatives, aiming to send it to the President’s desk before the July 4th Independence Day holiday. The House will reportedly vote on the bill Wednesday.

The comprehensive bill includes significant tax cuts and increased funding for national security. These provisions are partially offset by what has been described as the largest cut to the federal safety net in decades.

When Trump heard of the bill’s passage in the Senate, he replied “Ooooo, thank you. Music to my ears. It shows that I care about you because I’m here and I probably should be there.”
