After criticizing PM Netanyahu in an interview where he blamed the Prime Minister for failing to honor 2022 coalition agreements to secure IDF draft exemptions for yeshiva student, senior UTJ official Moti Babchik was sacked from the Housing Ministry earlier.

In response, Babchik’s said in a public statement: “The truth cannot be silenced! Netanyahu should only blame his deceitful advisors who taught him to mislead the Gedolei Yisrael and betray loyal coalition partners who stood by Likud through thick and thin, only to receive ingratitude.”

Babchik added, hinting that the UTJ is opened to break off from the Netanyahu faction: “Charedi parties’ support depends on true partnership to preserve Torah values and Jewish tradition.”

Undeterred, Babchik doubled down in an exclusive statement to Belaaz, saying: “In the next government, we’ve learned our lesson. Anyone seeking Charedi support will need to pass the draft law before the government is formed. We’ve learned from past mistakes.”

Babchik will continue managing MK Yitzchak Goldknopf’s office.
