The Skverer Rebbe Shlita received a personally signed letter from President Donald Trump, which was handed to him this evening during his grandchild’s wedding which took place Wednesday night in New Square, a source involved tells Belaaz.
The letter was presented to the Rebbe by New Square Mayor Izzy Spitzer and another Askan.
Belaaz is told that the Rebbe read the rare letter word for word and smiled as thousands of Chasidim looked on.
Belaaz is also told that Martin Marks, the White House Jewish Liaison, secured the rare letter for the Skverer Rebbe. Renowned for his steadfast commitment to the Jewish community, Marks actively combats antisemitism and ensures the Jewish community’s needs are addressed in the Oval Office. He also rallied Jewish voters for President Trump’s 2024 campaign and tirelessly advocates for the hostages in Gaza, ensuring their plight remains a priority.
Several weeks ago, the Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Yoel (Monroe) also received a warm letter from the President. The rebbe was promised a meeting with Trump before the election which would take place right after he takes office, however due to his busy schedule the meeting has yet to happen.
A source told Belaaz that President Trump was set to meet the Satmar Rebbe very recently at Trump’s Bedminster home in NJ, but the plan fell through due to the President’s busy schedule and priorities.
