Hagaon Harav Meir Greinman shlita, the last living nephew of the Chazon Ish, was rushed to the hospital on Friday night after suffering a heart attack.

Rav Greinman, 93, is the mechaber of the renowned seforim “Imrei Yosher” and is a central figure in Bnei Brak, where many flock to his residence to seek his brachos and aitzos.

According to reports in Israeli media, the medical emergency occurred late Friday night. The Rav was sitting and learning with his grandson, who noticed that the Rav had suddenly become unresponsive.

Hatzolah were immediately summoned to the home. After a rapid assessment, the decision was made to evacuate him to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.

Rav Greinman was admitted to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, where doctors confirmed he had suffered a cardiac event.

Hospital sources report that his condition is currently stable. He is receiving dedicated care and is expected to undergo a procedure to implant a pacemaker in the coming days, according to Bechadrei Charedim.

The tzibur is asked to recite Tehillim for (Rav) Meir ben Tzvia for a Refuah Sheleimah b’soch sh’ar cholei Yisroel.
