A deeply moving scene unfolded on Motzoei Shabbos in the home of the Stropkover Rebbe Shlita, illustrating the profound respect Gedolim have for their wives.
As the Chassidim gathered and the Rebbe prepared to recite the Brachos over the Menorah, there was an unexpected delay. The Rebbe, knowing that his Rebbetzin, is currently undergoing medical treatment in the hospital, refused to begin the ceremony until he had her on the line.
The Rebbe insisted that she be part of the Mitzvah.
Once the call was connected, the Rebbe placed his phone on speaker so the Rebbetzin could hear every word clearly. Only then, with his wife listening from her hospital bed, did the Rebbe begin the Brachos with great emotion.
The Chassidim present described the atmosphere as one of intense holiness and inspiration, seeing firsthand the Rebbe’s dedication to ensuring his wife was not forgotten during this special time.
