The White House revealed Thursday night that imports from Israel will now be subject to a 15% tariff, as part of a broader overhaul of trade policy introduced by the Trump administration affecting numerous nations.

This move comes through an executive order signed by US President Donald Trump, who has continued to pursue aggressive trade reforms aimed at bolstering American industries.

The order outlines new tariff rates on a range of countries, with some as high as 41% on Syrian goods and 30% on imports from South Africa. In a separate statement, the administration said tariffs on Canadian goods would increase to 35%, up from the previous 25%.
