U.S. President Donald Trump signed a sweeping arms agreement with Saudi Arabia Tuesday that includes the largest arms deal ever made between the two nations, valued at nearly $142 billion, as part of a broader economic pact between Washington and Riyadh.
During a ceremonial meeting at the Saudi Royal Court in Riyadh, Trump and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman formally signed the deal. According to Saudi state media, the agreement spans multiple sectors, including energy, defense, mining, and more.
The White House revealed that Saudi Arabia is also planning to pour $600 billion into U.S. investments, as part of what Trump described as a major initiative to deepen economic ties between the allies.
“I really believe we like each other a lot,” Trump remarked during his meeting with the crown prince, signaling a warm rapport between the two leaders.
The U.S. president was joined by a delegation of American business executives, including tech magnate Elon Musk. Following his engagements in Riyadh, Trump is expected to visit Qatar on Wednesday and the United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
Notably, Trump has no plans to visit Israel during this trip.
