US President Donald Trump said Sunday that negotiations over his plan to end the Gaza war are nearing completion, with all parties largely on board.

When asked by reporters whether he was “open to flexibility” on the terms of his Gaza peace proposal, Trump replied, “We don’t need flexibility, because everyone has pretty much agreed to it.” He acknowledged, however, that “there’ll always be some changes.”

Trump went on to praise the plan, saying “You get the hostages back almost immediately,” he said. “Negotiations are going on right now, will probably take a couple of days.”

Earlier in the day, Trump issued a sharp warning to Hamas through a text message to CNN, saying the group faces “complete obliteration!” if it attempts to retain power in Gaza.

Responding to claims that Hamas had effectively rejected his plan by refusing to disarm and attaching conditions to the release of hostages, Trump wrote, “We will find out. Only time will tell!!!”

Although Hamas has said it does not intend to govern Gaza in the future, the group continues to insist on keeping weapons and maintaining some involvement in a future Palestinian entity.

Asked if Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was fully committed to implementing the plan, Trump simply answered, “Yes.”

The president’s proposal aims to secure the immediate release of hostages and transition Gaza to a technocratic administration, with disarmament and reconstruction to follow under international oversight. Negotiations are expected to continue over the coming days.
