White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed that President Donald Trump’s reaction to the IDF’s attack on the Holy Family Church in Gaza “wasn’t positive.” Leavitt noted that Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier, during which Netanyahu described the attack as a “mistake.”

In a statement issued moments ago, Netanyahu apologized, saying: “Israel deeply regrets that a stray ammunition hit Gaza’s Holy Family Church. Every innocent life lost is a tragedy. We share the grief of the families and the faithful. We are grateful to Pope Leo for his words of comfort. Israel is investigating the incident and remains committed to protecting civilians and holy sites.”
