President Donald Trump said that Houthi terrorists showed “courage” in taking fierce “punishment” from the US, in remarks made after agreeing to a ceasefire with the terrorists that omits any protection for Israel

Trump said in a Wednesday statement √  “we achieved a very good result with the Houthis, and we respect their word. They made a commitment.” Trump added: “We’ll see what happens. But I hope this is behind us, and they’ll leave these ships alone.

“We hit them very hard. They had an impressive ability to take punishment. They took enormous punishment. And you know, you could say there’s a lot of courage in that – it was amazing, what they absorbed.”

The ceasefire was met with dismay in Israel, as many see it as an abandonment of a close ally and avowed friend of Israel, as the Houthis stated openly that strikes on Israel will continue unabated and that the ceasefire has nothing to do with its attacks there.
