President Donald Trump is urging Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza, following his reported shock at graphic images of civilian casualties. Sources close to the president say he is intensifying diplomatic pressure on Israel, calling for a ceasefire, more humanitarian aid, and progress in hostage negotiations with Hamas terrorists.

Hamas terrorists operate in civilian areas, including hospitals and schools.

According to a report onn Walla, two senior White House officials confirmed that Trump has sent clear instructions to Netanyahu to “Strive to end the war.”

Mideast Envoy Steve Witkoff has been in direct contact with Netanyahu and his adviser Ron Dermer, while also holding indirect communications with Hamas leaders in Doha. These talks are being facilitated through a secret channel operated by Palestinian-American businessman Bishara Bahava, according to reports. So far, however, the effort has yielded no breakthroughs. In the meantime, the IDF has launched ‘Operation Gideon’s Chariots,’ which involves evacuating large segments of the Gaza population to designated humanitarian zones and destroying key infrastructure in the territory.

US sources have, however, denied that Trump has soured on Netanyahu.

Additionally, the United Kingdom, France, and Canada issued a rare joint warning, threatening serious consequences if Israel does not end its military actions and ease humanitarian restrictions. As part of that response, the British Trade Ministry has suspended free trade agreement negotiations with Israel and summoned the Israeli ambassador in London.

This week, a dozen trucks carrying baby food and other vital supplies entered Gaza. While welcomed by the U.S., American officials described it as “just a first step.”

“In recent weeks, the president has deeply empathized with the suffering in Gaza – but he maintains his ironclad support for Israel,” said Adam Boehler, the White House envoy on hostage affairs. He added, “Trump wants to see the war end and all hostages released.” White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt stated, “President Trump views the war in Gaza through the lens of an ‘America First’ policy, and is working to end the conflict in a coordinated and rapid effort.”
