Prrsident Trump has directed the Department of Defense to put more boots on the ground in the Middle East as U.S. forces lob military strikes against Houthi terrorists in Yemen.

In a letter released Tuesday, Trump told House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate President Pro Tempore Chuck Grassley that he had instructed he Department of Defense to expand the U.S. military presence in the region and launch major strikes on Houthi-controlled areas.

Trump unapologetically has been unleashing the strikes in an atempt to stop the Houthis from attacking American forces and commercial ships in the Red Sea.

He said the U.S. would continue the strikes as long as the Houthis did not pose a threat to sea vessels or U.S. personnel.

“I will no longer allow this band of pirates to threaten and attack United States forces and commercial vessels in one of the most important shipping lanes in the world,” Trump wrote. “We will act to keep Americans safe.”
