Right-wing media figure and antisemite Tucker Carlson claimed without evidence Friday that Jeffrey Epstein likely worked on behalf of Israeli intelligence, adding fuel to long-running conspiracy theories.

“It’s extremely obvious to anyone who watches that this guy had direct connections to a foreign government. Now, no one’s allowed to say that foreign government is Israel, because we’ve been somehow cowed into thinking that that’s naughty,” Carlson told attendees at the Turning Points USA conference.

The remark received loud applause from the conservative audience gathered at the event.

Carlson insisted his position was neither anti-Semitic nor hostile toward Israel, explaining, “I object to CIA actions but am still an American patriot.”

Still, he added, “as long as we’re sending you money,” referring to Israel, “if you were committing crimes on our soil, we have the absolute right to know.”

In another clip circulating from the same event, Carlson argued that Americans who serve in foreign militaries, including those of Israel or Ukraine, should be stripped of their U.S. citizenship.

“You can only really pledge your loyalty to one person or one country, that’s just a fact,” he added.

Carlson continued: “There are a lot of Americans who’ve served in the IDF and they should lose their citizenship. There are a lot of Americans who serve in Ukraine, and they should lose their citizenship. You can’t fight for another country and remain an American — period. Obviously!”

According to Carlson, political correctness has stifled open debate on the issue: “Americans have been cowed into believing that’s hate speech,” he said. “You don’t hear hate in my voice, because there isn’t any.”

This isn’t the first time Carlson has targeted American citizens involved with Israel. He previously criticized U.S. Rep. Brian Mast of Florida for wearing his IDF uniform in Congress shortly after the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023.

Mast, a decorated American veteran who lost both legs while serving in Afghanistan, volunteered for the IDF in January 2025, helping to prepare medical kits at a base near Tel Aviv.
