Turkish Airlines, which suspended flights to Israel after the Oct. 7 massacre, is considering a resumption, Globes reported Monday.

The airline is run by the Turkish government, which has been increasingly hostile to Israel after Oct. 7, and has expressed support for the Hamas terror group.

Despite this, Turkish Airlines has, since the initial cancellation, maintained its takeoff and landing slots at Ben Gurion Airport – a decision which is costly, and signals that it wants to be able to resume flights when it decides to do so. However, failure to use the slots by the summer will risk their loss.

Prior to the cancellation,Turkish Airlines was the fourth largest carrier at Ben-Gurion Airport in 2023.
