By DAVID J. GLENN:

Two IDF soldiers visiting Amsterdam had to flee the Dutch capital after their photos and contact information were posted on social media by a group called Israel Genocide Tracker, it was reported Tuesday.

Exposing their identities placed them in danger of arrest for merely being members of the IDF, as the Netherlands adheres to the International Criminal Court’s draconian orders to arrest Israeli officials and military members.

The extremist group claimed the two soldiers had committed “genocide in Gaza, ” and “doxxed” them on the Internet.
Hate groups often “dox” persons online as a way to target them.

The two soldiers, who had served in Gaza, were vacationing in Amsterdam,  and returned to Israel after they were doxxed.

The two had received permission from Israel to travel to the Netherlands, but the army instructed the soldiers to remain in their hotel rooms and not go outside after being doxxed. However the IDF later decided that the soldiers should return home immediately.

Israel Genocide Tracker claimed on X that “after participating in the Gaza genocide, this Israeli tank commander from the 52nd Battalion, who was involved in kidnapping hundreds of civilians (especially in Jabalia) and who enjoyed taking selfies with them, landed in Amsterdam today for a vacation.” They attached four pictures to the post.

There was a note of irony in the incident:  The Netherlands was somewhat of a sanctuary for Jews during the Holocaust. The Dutch staged a massive rescue of Danish Jews, saving most of them from the Nazis.  Danish King Christian X was said to have worn a yellow Star of David in support of Jews — although this was an urban legend,  it was indicative of the sentiments of he Dutch people, including the family who hid Anne Frank.
