A two-year-old child was successfully rescued after falling into a 4-meter-deep pit during a family hike at Giv’at HaTitora in the city of Modi’in-Maccabim-Re’ut.

The incident occurred today (Wednesday) when the young child was hiking with family members, suddenly losing balance and falling into the pit. United Hatzalah first responders were immediately called to the scene. The child was transported to the hospital for evaluation, in stable condition and fully conscious.

Video shows Avi Dablinger, a paramedic and head of the United Hatzalah branch in Modiin, quickly arrived and entered the pit to rescue the child. B”H the rescue was successful, and the child was in stable condition, Bechadrei Charedim reported.

In light of the incident, authorities urged hikers to exercise caution and watch for potential hazards on the ground.
