Two hundred Americans unable to leave Israel due to the ongoing war will soon be able to return home via Egypt, with the help of the Tzedek organization.

Registration is currently closed, and it isn’t known yet if other trips will be organized. Future flights will depend on the success of the operation, Tzedek says.

Wednesday afternoon, buses carrying Americans will leave Israel and bring the weary passengers to Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, where they will board flights to New York.

“Hundreds of people who were visiting Israel for simchos or other reasonscalled us, frantically asking for our help in coming home,” Rabbi Moshe Margaretten, director of Tzedek told Belaaz.
Tzedek used its extensive network of contacts to ensure safety during the trips, coordinating with both private security firms and the Egyptian government. Each bus will be protected by two armed guards.

The flights were organized by the Plan it Rite travel agency, and will cost $2,200 per traveler.

The flights included special, lavish meals.
