The Tzedek organization said Friday that President Donald Trump will soon announce recommendations on expanding access and lowering costs for infertility treatments, after issuing an executive order earlier this year to explore methods of reaching that goal.

“While nothing is final until it’s officially announced, we are being told that as early as tomorrow, the White House is expected to take a meaningful step forward by announcing new actions to help families struggling with infertility,” Tzedek said in an email to supporters, stressing that “These are initial recommendations—a first step toward addressing a deeply personal and long-overlooked issue.”

“Though we cannot yet share all the details, our current understanding is that the proposals may include measures to assist those with small group insurance coverage, reduce the high cost of fertility treatment and medications, and provide expanded support for veterans, military families, and federal employees—among other recommendations,” the statement continued.

Reflecting on Trump’s second term, Tzedek said that while it was “so early in the new administration, the White House is now shining a national spotlight on the burden of infertility and devoting serious time and attention to this critical issue. This is deeply encouraging—no previous administration has ever taken such initiative. Remarkably, just three years ago, before Tzedek began advocating on this front, infertility was virtually absent from the national policy conversation. The progress since then is remarkable.”
