The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it killed a senior member of the terror group Hurras al-Din, an Al-Qaeda affiliate, following a precise airstrike in Northwest Syria on Saturday. CENTCOM shared the update via an official post on X/Twitter on Sunday evening.

CENTCOM said in the statement: “The airstrike is part of CENTCOM’s ongoing commitment, along with partners in the region, to disrupt and degrade efforts by terrorists to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against civilians and military personnel from the U.S., our allies, and our partners throughout the region and beyond.”

“We will continue to relentlessly pursue terrorists to defend our homeland and U.S., allied, and partner personnel in the region,” Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, Commander of U.S. Central Command said.
