The U.S. federal government announced Tuesday that it is revoking another $450 million in grant funding from Harvard University, citing continued failures to address antisemitism and discrimination on campus.
Harvard has refused to comply with the Federal government’s guidelines on how to protect students and root out Antisemitism, despite losing billions in funding.
Tuesday’s move adds to the $2.2 billion in grants already withdrawn from the university, according to the Trump administration’s Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism.
“Harvard University has repeatedly failed to confront the pervasive race discrimination and anti-Semitic harassment plaguing its campus,” read a joint statement issued by the U.S. Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the General Services Administration.
The agencies pointed to recent reports, including a Washington Free Beacon article, which claimed that Harvard Law Review used race as a criterion in its selection process and awarded a $65,000 fellowship to a protester accused of assaulting a Jewish student.
“Harvard’s campus, once a symbol of academic prestige, has become a breeding ground for virtue signaling and discrimination. This is not leadership; it is cowardice,” the agencies stated.
