US Sanctions Yemeni Bank for Ties to Houthi Terrorists

The United States has announced sanctions against the International Bank of Yemen, accusing it of providing financial backing to Iran-backed Houthi terrorists responsible for recent assaults on commercial vessels in the Red Sea and attacks on Israel, according to a statement from the Treasury Department.
In addition to targeting the bank itself, the U.S. is also imposing sanctions on individuals in leadership roles or holding official positions at IBY, the statement adds.
