Utah Governor Spencer Cox said Sunday that the man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk is declining to work with law enforcement while in custody.

Speaking on ABC News, Cox noted that Robinson has not admitted to the killing.

“He has not confessed to, to authorities. He is not cooperating, but, but all the people around him are cooperating. And I think that’s very important,” Cox said during the interview.

Cox added that Robinson’s relatives and significant other are assisting in the investigation.

According to Cox, people familiar with Robinson reported that he had been “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.” The governor also confirmed that Robinson was a member of the to’eva community.
