Video: Rishon Letzion Blesses Charles Kushner for Diplomatic Post

The Rishon Letzion, Harav David Yosef shlita, paid a special visit to the home of businessman Charles Kushner Sunday.

The visit was marked by a brachah from the esteemed Sephardic Chief Rabbi for Kushner’s upcoming appointment as the United States Ambassador to France.

Charles Kushner is the father of Jared Kushner, a son-in-law and former senior advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump.

During the visit, video of which circulated on social media, Rav Yosef was seen offering words of encouragement and giving Kushner a brachah for success in bis diplomatic mission.

“And now, when you are going down to Paris, if you know the situation between Israel and France, you are the right person in the right place for the Jewish people,” Rav Yosef said.

“Baruch Hashem, it’s great that the President of the United States, Mr. Donald Trump, sent a Jewish ambassador to that place. And b’ezrat Hashem..you are representative of the biggest nation in the world,” he continued, before giving a blessing in Hebrew, that Kushner should be successful in everything he does.
