Voting Day brings up a lot of feelings for many people. Who is the right choice?
Did I do enough research to make the right decision? Will my vote truly have an impact?
This years elections have so much riding on them. The races are close and each vote counts. The bystander effect is a social psychology phenomenon where individuals are less likely to offer help to a victim when other people are present.
This often happens due to diffusion of responsibility, where people assume someone else will intervene.
Let’s not think that other people will go and vote and therefore we don’t have to do our part. Let’s take the time out of our day to ensure that we go and do our part to vote to make the difference that we truly can.
