Okay, so many miracles happened during the Exodus from Egypt – the sea split, plagues struck, Egypt collapsed.
But matzah? Why didn’t we wait just half an hour to bake proper bread?
Couldn’t G-d have made one more miracle – given us just a little more time?
The answer is: no.
To really leave Egypt – to truly break free – you have to run.
No delays, no second thoughts, no goodbyes.
When you recognize something negative in your life – you don’t hang around. You run.
A Jew can leave Egypt physically,
but getting Egypt out of the Jew – that takes time.
That’s what happens after Passover – we count 49 days, we grow step by step, building ourselves up until we reach something real: receiving the Torah.

So yes, we eat matzah to remind ourselves that we ran – we escaped from Egypt.
We left before the dough could rise.
Because when it comes to negativity – you run.
And when it comes to good – you take it slow, one step at a time.
Wishing you a happy and meaningful Passover!
