Netanyahu Congratulates Trump in Warm Phone Call

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was among the first world leaders to congratulate President-Elect Donald J. Trump on his election win, with a ‘warm and cordial’ 20-minute call this morning.
- During their conversation, Netanyahu and Trump agreed to collaborate on ensuring Israel’s security and addressing the Iranian threat.
- Netanyahu and Trump have more recently reconnected after a period of distance following Netanyahu’s congratulatory message to Joe Biden on his 2020 presidential win, which reportedly upset Trump.
