Trump Seeks Military Escort and Ballistic Glass for Rallys Amid Iran Threats

Republican Presidential candidate President Donald Trump’s campaign has requested military aircraft and vehicles for his campaign travel due to an assassination threat from Iran. President Biden confirmed on Friday he instructed the Department of Defense to collaborate with the Secret Service to meet this request, jokingly adding, “As long as he doesn’t ask for F-15s.”

Additionally, Trump’s campaign seeks expanded flight restrictions over his residences and rallies, along with the availability of ballistic glass in seven swing states for safety, following a July 13 assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania.
